We’re pleased to announce a new feature within the Home Retrofit Planner assessment platform: the Home Retrofit Planner User Forum.
As more professionals adopt the platform to carry out Retrofit Assessments at scale, we’ve introduced this forum to strengthen collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the sector.
The forum has been created as an official knowledge hub and community space for those working with the tool in real time. It brings together practical guidance, technical insight and peer support in one dedicated environment.
At launch, the forum includes a comprehensive set of HRP Guides covering how the platform works and how to complete Retrofit Assessments using the app. It also features a Standards and Approaches section, where our team shares reflections and technical articles on retrofit methodology and assessment practice.
This content will continue to expand as the platform evolves.

Retrofit is a fast-developing field that benefits from shared experience and open discussion. The new forum creates a structured space where assessors and technical leads can:
discuss challenges and practical solutions
explore different approaches to assessment
suggest improvements and new features
stay informed about updates and releases
By embedding this feature within the platform, we’re making it easier for users to learn from one another and contribute to the ongoing development of the tool.
The forum also provides a direct route for our team to engage with users. Alongside our existing technical support channels, this space allows us to share updates, clarify guidance and better understand how the platform is being used in practice.
As Home Retrofit Planner continues to grow, building a strong user community is just as important as developing new technical features. The User Forum reflects our commitment to transparency, collaboration and sector-wide learning.
This launch marks another step in supporting high quality retrofit practice - not just through software, but through the people who use it.
