Meet the team

Jonathan Atkinson
Co-founder & Business Director

Jonathan has a background in social enterprise and co-operatives and has built a wealth of experience in retrofit from his time at Carbon Co-op including programme and project management of retrofit works. He has developed PPR's business strategy and is heavily involved in strategic and partnership development as well as engaging with the wider retrofit and policy making sector.

Marianne Heaslip
Co-founder & Technical Director

Marianne leads technical work across our services. As a qualified architect, Marianne brings two decades of retrofit expertise. This includes retrofit at scale in social housing, community-led projects, and work on individual homes. Much of this was at URBED and in collaboration with Carbon Coop, prior to PPR being established as an independent organisation. She contributes to national retrofit standards, policy, and strategy. She has worked on PPR's Home Retrofit Planner tool since its inception. In collaboration with our partners and in our consultancy she continues to work to develop new tools and insights to support better retrofit.

Monika Jerszynska
Partnership Manager

Monika works closely with external organisations to develop their services across the UK and beyond. With 15+ years' experience in operations, service design and strategic collaboration, she has an ILM Award and is a mentor to young women, championing social change. When she's not working, she's growing vegetables in her allotment.

Immy Sykes
Operations Manager

Immy works with all the teams in PPR to keep them operational and moving forward. Her background is in operational development at smaller start ups. She occasionally supports project research and marketing efforts, enjoying communication and dissemination of our work. Outside of PPR, Immy loves anything outdoorsy and is a passionate cyclist, runner, climber and swimmer!

Rachael Branton
Construction Project Manager

Rachael is an architect, and has recently completed a PGdip in Green Building at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Alongside her work for PPR, she is interested in developing community led housing and is Homebaked CLT's Zero Carbon Neighbourhoods lead. Outside of buildings and housing, Rachael is likely to be found climbing rocks in good weather, or sewing in less than good weather.

Mark Crunden-White
Retrofit Surveyor

Armed with a wealth of knowledge on the how and whys of buildings, Mark is someone you'll likely meet if you book a home retrofit planner survey. Mark is an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor and also performs our cavity wall and thermal imaging surveys. Outside of his role, he's also pretty great with music, having spent much of his early years as a DJ.

Neil Hynes
Software Engineer

Neil develops the Home Retrofit Planner tool. A Housing Co-op resident with a passion for fair and sustainable housing, Neil draws upon 10 years' technical experience across the NHS and private sector. They work closely with the People Powered Retrofit team and our Community of Practice partners to maintain and improve HRP. In their spare time, Neil is a bass guitarist and avid Badminton player, serving as Welfare Officer of NC LGBT Badminton Club.
