Retrofit Fundamentals for Construction Professionals
This course gives construction professionals a starting point for getting into retrofit, the future of the building industry. Run by experienced retrofit contractors and People Powered Retrofit experts, the course will help you to:
- understand the fundamental principles of eco-retrofit works,
- build on your existing construction knowledge and skills,
- get up to date with the latest green building techniques, products, and regulations,
- find new business opportunities in retrofit.
You'll learn about:
- Retrofit drivers and approaches
- Air-tightness and ventilation
- Fabric heat-loss and insulation
- Thermal bridging and thermal by-pass
The course is available as a 2-day in person training course, or as a 4-part online course delivered as live webinars or on-demand sessions.
The course was a huge awakening for me. It's made me want to change almost every aspect of my work as a general labourer, and within weeks lead me down an amazing rabbit hole of amazing techniques, materials and systems already in use UK wide, that I knew absolutely nothing about.
