Jonathan is People Powered Retrofit co-founder and Business Director, he has a background in social enterprise and co-operatives and has built a wealth of experience in retrofit from his time at Carbon Co-op including programme and project management of retrofit works. He has developed PPR's business strategy and is heavily involved in strategic and partnership development as well as engaging with the wider retrofit and policy making sector.

Marianne is People Powered Retrofit’s co-founder and Technical Director, leading technical work across our services. As a qualified architect, Marianne brings over a decade of retrofit expertise. This includes retrofit at scale in social housing, community-led projects, and work on individual homes. Much of this was at URBED and in collaboration with Carbon Coop, prior to PPR being established as an independent organisation. She contributes to national retrofit standards, policy, and strategy. She has worked on PPR’s Home Retrofit Planner tool since its inception. In collaboration with our partners and in our consultancy she continues to work to develop new tools and insights to support better retrofit.

Monika is People Powered Retrofit’s partnership manager, working closely with external organisations to develop their services across the UK and beyond. With 15+ years’ experience in operations, service design and strategic collaboration, she has an ILM Award and is a mentor to young women, championing social change. When she’s not working, she’s growing vegetables in her allotment.
Immy is our operations manager, working with all the teams in PPR to keep them operational and moving forward. Her background is in operational development at smaller start ups. She occasionally supports project research and marketing efforts, enjoying communication and dissemination of our work. Outside of PPR, Immy loves anything outdoorsy and is a passionate cyclist, runner, climber and swimmer!

Rachael is People Powered Retrofit’s Construction Project Manager. She is an architect, and has recently completed a PGdip in Green Building at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Alongside her work for PPR, she is interested in developing community led housing and is Homebaked CLT’s Zero Carbon Neighbourhoods lead.
Outside of buildings and housing, Rachael is likely to be found climbing rocks in good weather, or sewing in less than good weather.

Harriet is our Householder Service Manager, guiding clients through their retrofit journey and enhancing service design. She’s likely the first person you’ll meet when joining the householder service. With a Master’s in Biology and experience in social housing, she’s passionate about accessible climate action. A certified Carbon Literacy Facilitator, she’s trained over 20 organisations.

Sophia is a Retrofit Designer & Surveyor at People Powered Retrofit, with a background in sustainable construction and architectural design. Retrofit Coordinator trained since 2021, she’s worked on ECO3 and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund projects. She brings a deep understanding of sustainable materials, conservation, and retrofit best practices. She volunteers at grass roots music festivals, enjoys getting outside and cold water swimming. |

Sandy is our User Researcher, supporting the team with research, service design and workshop facilitation. She works with the People Powered Retrofit team and our partners to conduct inclusive research and develop people-centred retrofit services. Sandy is also a studio volunteer with disability arts charity Venture Arts and founding director of the Inclusive 11s football league.
Armed with a wealth of knowledge on the how and whys of buildings, Mark is one of our retrofit surveyors and someone you’ll likely meet if you book a home retrofit planner survey. Mark is an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor and also performs our Cavity wall surveys. Outside of his role, he’s also pretty great with music, having spent much of his early years as a DJ.

Neil is one of our Software Engineers developing the Home Retrofit Planner tool. A Housing Co-op resident with a passion for fair and sustainable housing, Neil draws upon 10 years’ technical experience across the NHS and private sector. They work closely with the People Powered Retrofit team and our Community of Practice partners to maintain and improve HRP.
In their spare time, Neil is a bass guitarist and avid Badminton player, serving as Welfare Officer of NC LGBT Badminton Club.
